Ontology for Flow Cytometry
This folder contains the files for the flow cytometry ontology.
The ontology itself is stored in .owl files, and can be viewed in any ontology editor.
The .pprj files are used only by the Protege tool editor, but allows for the view of the ontology to be saved and for easier opening of the ontology in Protege. This work is being undertaken in conjunction with the Functional Genomics Investigation Ontology (FuGO) project http://fugo.sourceforge.net.

The zip file containes the ontology itself stored in .owl file (can be viewed in any ontology editor) and the .pprj file that is used only by the Protege tool editor, but allows for the view of the ontology to be saved and for easier opening of the ontology in Protege. Protoge 3.2 or newer ontology editor is to be used to open the .pprj file, it can be downloaded at http://protege.stanford.edu/. We welcome any comments to the developed ontology.

Basic structure of the ontology has been changed to correspond to FuGO development. The zip file contains the following: Content.rtf describing the content of the zip file. FaceOntology.v0.4.0 - folder containing the ontology itself stored in .owl file (can be viewed in any ontology editor) and the .pprj file that is used only by the Protege tool editor, but allows for the view of the ontology to be saved and for easier opening of the ontology in Protege. Protoge 3.2 or newer ontology editor is to be used to open the .pprj file, it can be downloaded at http://protege.stanford.edu/. OWLdoc - folder containing HTML documentation to the ontology. Use any HTML browser to open the index.html file. exports - folder containing 2 documents: (1) FaceOntologyV0.4.0.html - simple table containing the basic structure of the ontology in the format class, parent class, definition, and (2) FaceOntology.v0.4.0.xls - MS Excel file containing 2 sheets with a similar format as described for FaceOntologyV0.4.0.html. One sheet with the full ontology, the other one with the top terms. tools - A very simple XSL Stylesheet (FaceOwl2html.xsl) converting an OWL file to a simple HTML table export. This file was used to create the FaceOntologyV0.4.0.html table.
